TEMPLE GRANDIN

One of Time Magazine’s “100 Most Influential People in the World”

Dr. Temple Grandin’s early life struggles were chronicled in the Emmy-award winning HBO film, “Temple Grandin,” starring Claire Danes. After Temple was diagnosed with autism at age 4, her mother defied doctors who advised her to place her daughter in an institution. Today Dr. Grandin is an animal science professor at Colorado State University and half the cattle in the U.S. and Canada are handled in humane equipment she designed.
